This is Zé. He came from a wonderful home where he had lived since he has a puppy. Unfortunately, his previous owners' living arrangements changed and they unselfishly felt it was in Zé's best interest to be re-homed. Zé was brought into the PPCA's rescue program in July 2006.
Shortly thereafter, Zé was adopted by a wonderful family in Connecticut. He will be the second Portuguese pointer rescue in this household. Truly a happily ever after story!

Samora
This is Samora, named after the small town in Portugal  where she was found running loose by Jack and Temple DaSilva on a recent trip there. As you can see, she is extremely malnourished, with many calluses from sleeping on hard surfaces.  She was covered in ticks and was suffering from a urinary tract infection.  Through the extreme generosity of Tiago Fortuna and Nanci Perreira of Quinta do Pasto Kennels in Portugal, she is now on the road to recovery.  If a suitable home is not found for Samora in Portugal, she will come to the home of theDaSilva's.  Stay tuned for updates on this sweet girl's condition.
